What is a Reiki session like?
During the Reiki session the receiver most often lies down fully clothed, on a massage table. Reiki can also be done while sitting, reclining in a chair or even while standing. The Reiki practitioner will ask you if there are areas you would like worked on. Following, the Reiki practitioner will go through a series of gentle hand positions (either directly touching a specific area of the body, or with hands raised 6”-10” above the body.) Every effort is made to insure that the person receiving Reiki is comfortable and “in control”. After the session you will be asked if you have any questions and the practitioner will report their experience working with you.
Is Reiki a religion?
Reiki is not a religion, requires no special beliefs and is not “faith healing.” People of all ages, religions and beliefs practice Reiki the world over.
